These Terms & Conditions govern quotes, orders, delivery and returns for products purchased through BUXENA. By requesting a quote or placing an order with us, you agree to the terms below.
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") apply to every quote, order and purchase made through buxena.com or in direct correspondence with BUXENA ("BUXENA," "we," "us"). They sit alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your information. Please read both before placing an order.
BUXENA is a United States–based retailer and importer of premium indoor and outdoor saunas. We select, specify and sell saunas manufactured by third-party European manufacturers. Unless a specific product listing states otherwise, BUXENA is the retailer and importer of the products we sell — we do not manufacture them.
Descriptions, dimensions, materials and specifications on this website are provided to the best of our knowledge, based on information supplied by the manufacturer. Manufacturers periodically update their designs and specifications, and actual products may differ slightly from what is shown here. Please confirm any specification that is critical to your decision with us before ordering.
A quote provided through our Request a Quote form or in correspondence is an estimate based on the information you give us — it is not an order and does not reserve inventory or production capacity. An order is only confirmed once we have issued a written order confirmation and any applicable deposit terms (see Section 6) have been met.
Prices are quoted in US dollars unless stated otherwise and are subject to change at any time before an order is confirmed in writing. Once we have confirmed your order in writing, the confirmed price will not change except by agreement between us — for example, if you request a different model, configuration or delivery destination after confirmation. Accepted payment methods and payment terms will be set out in your quote or order confirmation.
Certain orders — particularly custom, special-order or made-to-order products — may require a deposit before production or shipment begins, with the balance due before or at delivery. Where a deposit applies, the amount and the schedule for the remaining balance will be set out clearly in your quote or written order confirmation before you are asked to pay anything.
Because our products are imported from European manufacturers, availability and lead times vary by model, season and supplier production schedules. Any lead time given in a quote or order confirmation is our good-faith estimate based on current information from the manufacturer, not a guaranteed ship date. If we become aware of a material delay, we will let you know as soon as reasonably possible.
Most BUXENA products are large and ship via freight carrier. Delivery pricing depends on the destination ZIP code, the sauna model, and site access conditions, and will be confirmed in your quote or order confirmation. If your order has not shipped by the estimated date given at the time of order, we will notify you of a revised timeline. If the delay is significant, you may choose to accept the new date or cancel your order for a full refund of any amount paid, consistent with applicable US consumer protection requirements for ordered merchandise.
You are responsible for providing accurate delivery and site information, including address, access conditions and any known obstacles. Unless BUXENA specifically agrees otherwise in writing, you are also responsible for ensuring adequate site access and a suitable, properly prepared foundation or base for the model you have ordered, completed before delivery. We will tell you what a given model requires before you order.
You must ensure a clear, safe path for the delivery vehicle and any unloading equipment the carrier requires. If access is restricted — a narrow gate, steps, soft ground, overhead lines — please tell us before you order, since it may affect delivery cost or method. Additional charges may apply where access requires special equipment or a second attempt.
BUXENA is a retailer and importer, not an installation contractor. Installation and assembly arrangements vary by model and are addressed at the time of your quote. Unless we have specifically agreed in writing to arrange or provide installation for your order, installation is your responsibility, to be carried out by a qualified local contractor.
Electric sauna heaters require a dedicated electrical circuit sized to the heater. All electrical connections must be performed by an appropriately qualified, licensed electrician in compliance with applicable local electrical codes and inspection requirements. We can provide the electrical specifications for a given heater to help your electrician quote and plan the work, but BUXENA is not responsible for electrical installation.
You are solely responsible for determining and obtaining any permits, zoning approvals, homeowners' association approvals or other local authorizations required to install and use your sauna. Requirements vary significantly by municipality and property. We recommend checking with your local building department before ordering, as it can affect which model makes sense for your site.
Please inspect your shipment at the time of delivery, before signing the carrier's delivery paperwork where possible. Note any visible damage or shortage directly on the delivery documents, and contact us promptly afterward — see Section 15.
If your order arrives damaged or incomplete, contact us at info@buxena.com as soon as possible with a description and photographs. We will work with you, the carrier and the manufacturer to arrange an appropriate resolution — repair, replacement parts, or another remedy suited to the situation.
To cancel or change an order, email us at info@buxena.com as soon as possible. Because many models are imported or produced to order, cancellation terms — including whether any fee applies once production or shipment has begun — will be set out in writing in your order confirmation.
Given the size and nature of these products, returns are handled case by case. Any return eligibility window and associated terms will be set out in writing at the time of your order. Refunds relating to cancelled or undelivered orders are handled as described in Section 8 (Shipping and Delivery) and in accordance with applicable law.
Products ordered in a specific configuration, finish, or otherwise made to order may not be eligible for cancellation or return once production has begun. We will tell you clearly at the time of order whether your configuration falls into this category.
Products sold by BUXENA are covered by the applicable manufacturer's warranty. Warranty length and coverage vary by product and manufacturer and will be provided with your order or on request before you order. BUXENA will help facilitate warranty claims with the manufacturer on your behalf.
Our products are built from natural wood, which varies in grain, tone and knots from piece to piece — these are natural characteristics of the material, not defects. Actual products may also differ slightly from website photography due to natural material variation, photographic lighting, your screen, and manufacturer product updates over time.
Outdoor saunas need some ongoing exterior maintenance to keep their finish and weather resistance intact, on whatever schedule the manufacturer specifies for that model. Skipping recommended maintenance may affect manufacturer warranty coverage.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, BUXENA's liability for any claim relating to a product or order is limited to the amount you paid for that product. BUXENA is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your purchase or use of a product. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability, or any consumer right, that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.
We take reasonable care to keep this website accurate, but typographical, pricing or technical errors can occur. If we discover an error affecting your order — including a pricing error — we will contact you before proceeding, and you may cancel for a full refund of any amount already paid.
The text, images, logo and design of this website are owned by BUXENA or used with permission, and may not be copied or reused without our prior written consent.
Our Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through this website and our forms, and how we use and share it. It forms part of these Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which BUXENA is registered to do business, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Updates take effect as soon as they are posted, and we will update the "Last updated" date above whenever we make a material change. Continuing to order from BUXENA after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
