1. Overview
Most BUXENA products are large and ship by freight rather than standard parcel carrier. This policy covers how delivery is quoted, what to expect on delivery day, and what to do if something arrives damaged or incomplete. It should be read alongside our Terms & Conditions.
2. Delivery Quotations and Charges
Delivery charges depend on the product, your destination, order size, and site access conditions — including things like distance from the curb, stairs, gates, or narrow access. We do not publish a fixed delivery price for this reason. Your written quote or order confirmation will set out the delivery charge that applies to your specific order before you are asked to pay it.
3. Estimated Lead Times
Any lead time we give you — at quote stage or after your order is placed — is our best current estimate based on information from the manufacturer or freight carrier. Lead times can change due to production schedules, customs, weather, or carrier capacity, and should not be treated as guaranteed unless we confirm a specific date with you in writing. If a delay becomes significant, we will let you know and discuss your options.
4. Freight and Curbside Delivery
Many orders are delivered freight or curbside, meaning the carrier delivers to the nearest accessible point at your address rather than into your yard, basement, or a specific room. Whether a more involved delivery service is available, and at what cost, depends on the product, the carrier, and your location — ask us before ordering if you need more than curbside delivery.
5. Customer Availability and Site Access
You are responsible for providing accurate delivery and site information, and for being available (or arranging someone to be available) to receive the delivery at the scheduled time. Please tell us in advance about anything that could affect access — steps, slopes, narrow gates, low branches, or shared driveways — since it can affect the delivery method or cost.
6. Unloading Responsibilities
Unless we have expressly agreed otherwise in writing, unloading the shipment from the delivery vehicle and moving it to its final position is the customer's responsibility once the product has been placed at the delivery point. Some carriers offer liftgate or additional-labor services at extra cost — ask us if you think you will need one.
7. Inspection Upon Delivery
Please inspect your shipment as soon as reasonably possible, ideally at the time of delivery and before signing the carrier's paperwork. Note any visible damage or shortage directly on the delivery documents where you can, take photographs, and let us know promptly — see Section 8.
8. Damaged or Missing Items
If your order arrives with visible damage, or something is missing, contact us at info@buxena.com as soon as reasonably possible with a description and photographs. Concealed damage that only becomes apparent once you unpack or open the crate should also be reported promptly, since carrier claims windows are time-limited. We will work with you, the carrier and the manufacturer toward an appropriate resolution.
9. Failed Delivery and Redelivery
If a delivery attempt fails because nobody was available, the address or access information provided was inaccurate, or the site was not ready to receive the shipment, additional freight or redelivery costs may apply. We will let you know before any such cost is charged.
10. Installation Is a Separate Service
Delivery and installation are separate. Installation is not automatically included with every purchase, and is only part of your order if we have expressly agreed to it in writing and it is reflected in your quote. See our Terms & Conditions for more on installation, electrical work, and site preparation.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last Updated" date above whenever we make a material change.
