The longest of the VIRU barrels gives four bathers the full-length benches that make the difference between sitting in a sauna and settling into one — lie down flat, stretch out, take the heat at your own pace. The covered terrace at the entrance adds a sheltered place to cool off between rounds.
Despite the length, the barrel geometry keeps the air volume efficient to heat: the curved wall returns heat to the room and leaves no cold corners. Thermowood construction — heat-treated, dimensionally stable, weather-resistant without chemical treatment — carries it through American winters.
